VATS problem. Gamebreaking. Please help.

Everytime I use VATS and then exit out of it, my whole screen just turns grey or white. My hud is still there, I can still move around, I can still use my pip boy, I can still go to menu and go into a different save. Even if I go to a different save though, my screen is still gray or white. I tried verifying game cache but that didn't fix the problem. The only fix I have for it is restarting the game but then I just can't use VATS.

Sounds like as if a texture block is put right in front of the camera. Do you have some mods maybe? If not, try a file revalidation. Stock answer, but helps sometimes.

It's a mod called FOV Slider that causes it.If you have it installed delete it.
I had the same problem and after deleting it VATS worked just fine.
