Buying Ultimate Edition when I already own NV

I read that if I just buy the Ultimate Edition I won't get an extra copy of the base game as a gift. Does anyone know if I buy it as a gift will I get the base game and all of the DLCs as gift items?

No, when you add it to the library, it gets consumed. Steam packages cannot be separated to individual entities, in any kind of action, including refunds. So if you own anything from the package, it gets lost permanently.

If you buy it as a gift its just one item, the "Ultimate Edition". If you activate it on your account you still only get the DLC that you are missing and the main game vanishes. You dont get individual gifts for the main game and DLC. That only happends when you buy every item seperatly.
