How to sprint?

this may seem like a silly question but when i press the sprint button (L Shift) i end up just walking slowly, i am new to this so im not sure what to do

Well in original game, there is no sprint button, so you are going to have what mod sets what button for sprinting. My guess would be right shift or CTRL.

There's no sprinting in the base game. You've got walking and the default jogging. You'll need to use a mod to add it to the game. This is the one I currently use: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34943/?

The defalt movement pace is the sprint, If you want to toggle the auto sprint press Caps Lock. It will set your defalt movement speed to walking and allow you to press shift to sprint

To add more to this thread, that sprint mod doesn't exactly play well with TTW. If you just stay in DC, it doesn't actually activate until you enter the New Vegas region. :/
