Pretty odd, but there you go.
but seriously why do i need to lol?
Which, barring adding an additional mod, becomes nearly impossible with AWOP installed, since the level of the generic Powderheads is raised to 8 and Cobb gets a boost to 12.
As the game is designed and presumably intended to be played, you will fight those powder gangers in Goodsprings instead of standing aside and watching, and you'll fight them before getting to the correctional facility. Unless you are power gaming.
I understand what you mean and I agree just not entirely, You can simply ignore goodsprings which I suspect many do. Certain games make you expect to have to follow the questlines, but in Fallout (even bethesda fallout) you can often just do it later.
I tend to avoid making quick judgement in my maiden playthough. If they started shooting at me or something to that effect, then yeah its likely I would get involved (not wanting to die and all) but if the game doesn't force me to do it, often I'll leave it until a later date.
When I first played Pillars I remember being uneasy as I knew nothing about any factions that existed in the world, I tried to avoid any dialogue that look liked it commited me to anything :)
If the gangers were just called raiders then there would have been a greater chance of just following through, simply because if they didn't bother to name the faction or provide a description about em then I'd assume they were generic XP pools.
If you ever play Two Worlds 1, go ahead and do everything for all the factions. Even though they're technically "enemies," there's no consequences for maxing your rep with one, then helping the other.
