For the Republic, Part 2 (Brotherhood of steel alliance NOT POSSIBLE?!)
As you see on the title above, I'm having trouble getting the NCR and BOS to form an alliance. At this point, I'm already idolized by the NCR and Liked by the BOS. I've read through the wikis and other guides that IF you get Haden (or whatever his name is) as Elder, it's not possible to complete 'For the Republic' quest without destroying them.

IS THAT TRUE?! Is there no other way to complete it? I HAVE TO ANNHILATE THEM?! I mean after all those quests I did with them, I was satisfied. Which brings me to a bigger issue (In my opinion) I went through some trouble just to make Veronica the best dam melee companion as possible, completing her quest, giving her power armor, completing Dead Money so I can give her the holotape, gave her 'pushy' (even though she lost it). She's the first companion and I want her to last through out the playthrough.
So does that pratically mean..... Veronica will no longer gonna accompany me EVER AGAIN after I wipe out the Brotherhood?! :steamsad:

Yes, the hardline brotherhood senior paladin, who is extremely conservative and militant, indeed refuses to work with their most hated enemy.

Why did you think he'd EVER agree to an alliance with them?

You can also totally wipe them out. Veronica doesn't care as long as your brotherhood reputation doesn't fall too low.

Well, that mod is more like the character convincing House to leave them alone for the time being.

I wanna try to avoid mods until I finish the first few playthroughs. I am alittle upset that Bethesda never added a dialouge option about a truce with the NCR for Haden. Maybe it won't change the situation, but atleast it's worth trying.

There's no option because there shouldn't be one. Why would Hardin support an NCR-brotherhood alliance?

Maybe you shouldn't support ultra-conservative militants next time.

It wasnt developed by bethesda, it was developed by obsidian with a lot of the team members from the original games

It's called choices and consequences. You should rather play Bethesda's Fallout games if you can't cope with quest outcomes that don't work out perfectly for everyone involved. Or just load an earlier save/replay the game with different coices.

If Chris Avellone is involved, you know there won't be a storybook ending. Just look at what ended up happening to Revan.

There are 2 possible ways besides the BOS to get Power Armor Training, go and get Aracade Gannon, hes a Remnants member and you can recive power armour training to allow you to wear either Enclave Power Armour, or Gannon Family Tesla Armor (if you dont convice Aracde to help during the battle of Hoover Dam). There is also (might be from Project Nevade(It is more of a overhaul mod that improves the game with balancing etc.)) a power armor training holotape at the Crashed Vertibird.

Power armor training holotape is only ever in mods.

In the actual game, the only ways to get power armor training is through Arcade's quest, or doing all the brotherhood quests and becoming a paladin.

I said I may be wrong, but then again in my playthrough I gave myself PAT and have a mode for , effectivly, infinate companions.

Which, thankfully, along with the majority of KotOR II's events, were retconned out pretty soon from the Expanded Universe.

Even without being a Star Wars fan, I don't really think Disney did that too well; Revan isn't canon, but Darth Spider-Maul is.

I was talking about the pre-Disney EU. The sheer amount of stupidity regarding SW canon in that game was… astonishing. Pretty much the only thing they ever used from it was the player character, who later died to save the life of Revan. (Coincidentally, she was probably the only RPG character where the player had the option to choose the gender who was canonically female.)

Considering part of that life was 300 years of torture at the hands of the Sith Emperor...not a really good ROI on that debt.
