Like I said before I love making new characters in New Vegas much more than other games as there's just so much you can do with them. Will I make a mentally-impaired brute of a man? A nerdy scientist who loves laser guns? A gritty survivalist type? A two-bit thug hooked on Jet? There's just so much you can do!
The command I think is "coc <cell name>", without the quotation marks or the arrow marks. Not exactly sure how to use it, seeing as I've not done so myself, but this page will give a list of the cell ID's so you can teleport to a location of your choosing.
I think you use the cell ID rather than the GECK Editor ID, but for Goodsprings town centre it'll be either "coc goodsprings" or "coc 000daebb", again, without the quotes.
Hopefully, this should allow you to resume that game. Bear in mind that usage of these console commands will disable achievements, but apparently you can still re-enable them in that current game by saving and exiting the game, although I'm not 100% on that.
Disable all three auto save functions in the settings menu.
AND quick save often and always menu save before exiting the game. I would also menu save before starting any new quest.
