game still crashes even if i use anti crash mods

the game keeps crashing everytime during the sunny smiles kill geckos quest. i used the discussion that is pinned to download nvse, the 4gb patch, mod organizer, and nvac yet it still crashes. please help me fix this

Yeah try disable that Anti Crash and 4gb patch it was the source of my pain playing on PC

When you say you used the pinned discussion, did you use the guide it links to Simple Guide to Setting up New Vegas in 2024? That seems pretty good, but the instructions in the body of the discussion itself are very outdated and i'd ignore the rest.

Also even though its in both sets of instructions - i don't use nvac, it's also very old and there's quite a lot of bug reports surrounding it, it seems to cause as many problems as it solves.

I've installed the mods in the minimum requirements section (+100 or so more of course), and i'm 30+ hours in to my save and no crashes or bugs yet...

Feels like New Vegas just deals you an unlucky hand. I have to same problem but I know people who don't.

If you are playing an un-modded play-through, and have the adequate computer hardware, I recommend you follow a very basic guide to modding as you will be able to achieve a stable and vanilla-like game that wont have this issue

Funny enough, last AMD Driver update killed the game and NVAC alongside with a mod from 2010 has fixed my game so far lmao

I'm a year older than the game It usually luck I ran the game with 100+ mods on my shoddy laptop that was like 1/6 broken at 30 fps and it never crashed the only mods I used for anti crash were
New vegas anti crash and preformance of the gods which gets rid of stuff you don't see any way like random particles that don't need to be there
