Dead money bug
So I was playing dead money and after leaving the vault and killing father Elijah, when I have to escape the force feilds don't open and the quest marker is always in a different place and always leads no where. When I no-clip through the force feilds and go to the elavator, it just takes me back to suites.

set "xx00AE1E".bSecurityAltInfo to 1

"xx" is usually 01 or 05 for most people.

What does that even mean?

Umm, so you know that the elevator is supposed to take you back to the suites right? The DLC only ends when you leave the zone.

Yes I do, but it just takes me to the suites instead where Christine is.

It means the console command you need to type to fix the bug. Since this is a PC version, I like to assume that if someone plays it, they know about how to use an in-game console on a PC game.

Yes I used tcl (no clip) in console to get past the force feild.

It doesn't work. Just says unknown variable.

Make sure you type it exactly as in that box, including those quotation marks. You can also check the exact number for the xx part by clicking anything while in console mode: the starting two digits on all items refers to the DLC load order, which is the number you are looking for. For Dead Money, it should be 01 or 05.

No-clipping through the force field is what causes this 'bug'. You're really meant to access the vault security terminal which lowers the field before you get into the final section of the vault.

The terminal entry "Vault Security Protocols Information" was the one you should've read, but it will no longer appear after you've contacted Elijah, so you'll need to use the console command to set the variable which you skipped out on.

If the console command doesn't work it means you've entered it incorrectly.
Check all spaces and punctuation.

Still doesn't recognise it as a variable. I tried changing the xx to 01 and 05 and it didn't work.

When I try to disable the force feilds on the security terminal, nothing is even on the terminal.
