What's up with the pronunciation of Caesar in this game? {ANSWERED}
Alright, this is something that's bothered me for a long while. Despite it being a very small thing, it's driving me mad that I don't know.
What's up with the way the majority of the character's pronunciation of Caesar in FONV?

I was brought up pronouncing the name Caesar as "See-Sir".
However, the majority of the people in FONV pronounse it as something like "Kai-sar".
Now, I didn't think much of it by the end of the game, as almost eeeeveryone pronounced it in the latter way.
However, when I played the DLC in Zion (Can't remember it's name. Honest Hearts or something?). There was a certain character who pronounced in the way I'm farmiliar with.

I was hoping for a little explination as to what is up with the different pronunciations, if there is any at all.
Again, it's a very little bother, but I'm curious.

That's the original Roman pronunciation.

The German word Kaiser is derived from it.

Quick, short and to-the-point.
Many thanks. Interesting, I didn't know that there were other pre-dating pronunciations.

No problem. I know the first time I heard it pronounced as kai-sar, I was like 'say what now?'

It's also a nice extra to show you who knows or is involved with Caesar as those who do pronounce it in Latin.

caesar is the name he took after he read a history book but his people call him kaiser like the german king.

No, his people call him caesar. The way the English language pronounces quite a few Latin words is very far from the original pronounciation. (Not to mention the tendency to remove the -s from the end of Greek and Roman names. Never understood why.)
