If you really want to do it, open the ESM in NVSE-supported G.E.C.K. (you need to create a BAT file for that) and recompile it to an ESP.
If you really want to try it there is a way to do it on FOMM. I have never tried it thought so I don't know if it actually works properly:
In Fallout Mod Manager, highlight and right click the mod in question, right click, then go into TESSnip. From here go to the top left and hit File and then Save. You can then save it as either an ESP or ESM file. You could then try removing the dodgy file and replacing it with the one you just saved.
Again, I haven't tried this myself so I don't know if it actually works properly or not.
as an alternative, is there any ways where i can change the master required to be an esm?
Plus I don't really trust FOMM ESP conversion, but that's only me.
i need to make a dummy esp for the file to read. however i cannot edit files with fnvedit because of errors, i tried making the dummy file with the geck but upon making it i named it the wrong thing, after deleting it i tried redoing the process but not when trying to save it the geck freezes.
this is driving me crazy.
i assume its because the file i made isnt set as a master.
any way to do this?
