How to use "save editors"?

Someone i know said that he was able to play new vegas on xbox one but he was able to use the pc game files or something so he can use console commands on the xbox. He didnt get too in depth and by the way i word this you can tell im no pc expert.

I just want to know how i can transfer saves from a pc to the console, i dont know if its possible on playstation but he was able to do it on xbox.

Too be honest if its possible i just want to be able to spawn some weapons i couldnt get in one playthrough (such as the alien blaster and the ycs).

I dont have my own gaming pc and not really interested in gaming anymore but i have a ps3 and ps4 that i have a few games on, two of which are fallout 3 and new vegas so if its possible to use console commands on a console that would be the world to me!

You cannot import PC/Xbox save files to PlayStation; it uses completely different files and encryptions. And no, no console commands on consoles either. How the heck would you even type them in?

That might be what you're looking for. If so, you'll have to copy a save from your console, upload it to the internet, ask someone to modify it for you, let them download it, let them use the console there, and then have them upload it. Then you'll have to download the save, and copy it back on your external drive. In theory, that might work, but seeing as you have a PS3/4, I'm not sure. Either way, you can upload it to the internet and I should be able to download it and help you out.

However, I highly, highly reccomend selling the consoles and getting a gaming PC. I mean, you'll need a PC either way, and it's cheaper to just build a gaming PC than to buy a normal PC and a console separately. 2 in 1, really. Either way, that's just my advice, I'm not trying to force my agenda on you. So, like I said, just do what I said before, and I'll see if I can help.

i will be getting a new computer anyways its just for right now. Like i said its not a big deal i was only going to use it to spawn a few items i couldnt get normally on a ps3. I just dont have time for alot of games nowadays but i still play fallout 3, new vegas and 4 on my playstations.

i know you cant use console commands on a ps3 but what i was thinking was to use the pc and start a game but spawn a couple of weapons like the ycs or the lonesome road grenade launchers then like save it to a usb drive to use on my ps3.

I understand. I have new vegas on our home computer and it works fine but im moving out and its not my pc so all i have is my consoles. Ill be getting a pc eventually but i probably wont be using it for games.

You'll need to google that ♥♥♥♥. Its not like we spend time moving saves between PC and PS3 - if you can run the game on your PC then you don't *need* to move it to the PS3.

Its not hard - start with 'fallout new vegas pc save on ps3' and go from there.

And no console commands on console - the console is locked out and even if it wasn't, consoles don't have keyboards.
