Great problem with the Great Khans
Guys, I really need some advice.
I'm on the quest For the Republic part 2, and I either have to kill or enlist the Great Khans. I couldn't convince them to join, either with Papa Khan live or dead, so I decided to just kill them all and get over with it.
Yet I killed every Great Khan around, even the one at the quarry and still the quest isn't completed.

Any advice? I'm totally out of ideas. I still have the save game just before killing all of them if it matters.

And yes, I spoke with all the other 3 dudes to convince Papa Khan and still nothing.

Curious how was your first encounter with the Khans? I mean how did you deal with them when at Boulder City? Also did you have Boone with you any of the times you met up with them? I don't think you can get Papa to ally with the NCR but you can convince them to leave the area. That is what I usually do. I tell them to seek their own fortune and they go Northwest.

Did you try to get Regis to take over? He is more willing to ally with the NCR. The three dudes are more about breaking the alliance with the Legion.

In one of the rooms theres is a note in a locker take that and show it to Papa Khan and then watch them kill a legion diplomat. After that talk to papa and he can now leave the Mojave

  • If you talk to Regis about his opinion on NCR the objective "Talk to Colonel Moore about a Great Khans/NCR alliance" is added, however there is no speech option with Moore regarding this if your fame with the Great Khans is too low.
FIX: Wear a faction's armor before talking to Colonel Moore. Keep in mind if you wear the armor of a faction hostile with the NCR you will be attacked.

  • Completing the quest Oh My Papa doesn't always update the quest log for For the Republic, Part 2 to tell you to go back to Colonel Cassandra Moore.
The quest was made to continue by instead killing Papa Khan and the requisite 15 Great Khans to advance the quest by wiping them out. When reloading, the Khans will live, but the quest marker is set as if the Khans were destroyed.
FIX: Use the following console codes to advance the quest
    SetObjectiveCompleted 136166 20 1 SetObjectiveDisplayed 136166 25 1
Thanks for the answers!

I would be perfectly okay with this, but I'm from eu, console is brought up with 0, and typing it so makes the console close. Numpad doesn't work, neither does copy+paste. How can I possibly type in 0 to get over with this? I'm honestly going insane here.
Not exactly. You bring it up with 0, but the game uses US layout, so your 0 is after 9.
You could run the command through a text file. Just put the commands in it (with each command on a separate line) then place it in the folder with the game's executable. Then while in game type: bat textfilename
That should run the console commands in the text file.
Thanks for all the answers, I tried slaughtering them again and it worked now for some reason. I didn't want to kill them all but gotta advance in the game.

Thank again!
You are welcome. In the original quote I posted, you can find a link to one of the Fallout wikis. They have debug information on most of the well-known quest glitches for FO3 and NV.
