Any games that are like Fallout new vegas?
I feel like i'm getting tired of playing the same quests in fallout new vegas over and over again, But i still really love its player choice, it's dialouge, it's world, etc. Are there any game you can reccomend that are like fallout new vegas?

There's always Fallout 3, And if you want to get Really Old school, Fallout 1 and 2. But be warned, there is a HUGE Learning Curve in the classic games.

Depends on what you like. If its player choice and a vast original world to explore and you don't mind dated graphics and die roll type combat I'd absolutely go to Morrowind (best 1st person visualized game world in all RPG'dom) or even further back to Daggerfall (best Character creation scheme ever implemented to date). I'm sure that the Obsidian senior design team grew up with both these games because their influence shows in FNV.

I've always wanted to play morrowind, The only problem is i've already played skyrim so it'll feel weird to play morrowind. But hopefully i can get past that. Does oblivion have the same rpg elements as morrowind?, Or is it dumbed down like skyrim?

Oblivion has fun quests, I'll give it that, but as far as I recall, it has very little choices that affect quest ending.

Not to mention Level scaling that makes leveling up your character pointless.
Armors that were extremely rare in Morrowind are now found in abundance.

You just have to wait until level 20+ to see a comon bandit suddenly wearing Glass armor or a marauder wearing Deadric armor.

If you want to play a good Oblivion, get an OOO mod.

Oblivion splits the difference between Morrowind and Skyrim. There are fewer factions, quests and skills and the consequences of player actions are lesser. However, Oblivion still features character attributes, which were removed entirely in Skyrim. Oblivion is just part of the progression from complex to simple that Bethesda has been following since releasing Daggerfall in 1998.

Oblivion is really pretty good. In fact the skills are as good or better than they are in Morrowind. The dumbing down is the Fast Travel (my opinion) and adjusting the combat to the level of the player. The Oblivion game world is pretty standard stuff although the graphics are beautiful, the deserted city dungeons and Oblivion towers are big,and bad without the insulting back doors of Skyrim. But Morrowind's game world is far better with a wonderful player buy-in than either Oblivion, Skyrim or the Fallout series.

I could dissect and compare Oblivion but its good entertainment like Skyrim but neither will be remembered 10 years from now while Morrowind and FNV will both continue to have a healthy fan base. So like I said regading die roll combat and dated graphics otherwise its a win-win game
for role playing in a huge and alien world.

Okay mattmoo - the two skills that come to my mind as being an improvement are Alchemy and Lockpicking. Alchemy seemed much smoother (although I can't remember exactly why except that I really did a lot of it in Oblivion) and Lockpicking had progressed to an actual skill level where I actually manipulated the lockpick against the tumblers rather than just a simple die roll. Lockpicking in Oblivion I also liked better than either the Skyrim/FNV version.

Also, since I'm on the subject - the Morrowind Daedric shrines totally smoked the puny statues in Oblivion but the ancient Aldmeric (?) cities were fantastically good and memorable along with the Daedric towers and lava seas. N'uff said - I'd still choose Morrowind over its descendants, but Oblivion and the Shivering Isles DLC are in my opinion a far better experience than Skyrim (never liked the game enough to try the DLC).

You can't find single player RPG's with this type of world, and dialogue choices.

Fallout 3 is as close as it gets, but it's not quite as good. Although, the camera zoom is better.

The Borderlands and Bioshock games have a similar style of crazy world. But they are super-consolized versions of Fallout. And they are first-person shooters. But who knows, you may have fun with them.

If it's dialogue choices you're after, Witcher III, Mass Effect III, and Dragon Age: Origins.

And Dragon Age: Inquisition Game of the Year Edition, if you get really desperate.

But these games don't have the environments, writing, or gameplay mechanics that you are looking for.

There is nothing like Fallout: New Vegas.

It's unique. Like the Mount & Blade games. That's why people like them.

As others have recommended here, I'd say to give Morrowind a shot; just get MGSO, and you should be set. MGSO just updates Morrowind's mechanics and graphics to a modern standard and adds some ambient sounds. Oblivion is decent, but Morrowind is the king of the 3D TES games imo. Great writing, fleshed-out faction systems, and it doesn't treat the player like a bumbling moron. The learning curve, especially going from Skyrim, is going to be very steep, but if you can manage that, the game slowly opens up to you. The main difference between Skyrim and Morrowind is that Skyrim tries to pull the player in while Morrowind puts that burden on the player. Skyrim feels as though it isn't quite convinced of its ability to wow the player and so tries to draw him or her in. Morrowind knows it'll wow the player and presents him or her with the world as it is, take it or leave it. Out of any 3D game BGS has ever pushed out, it feels like they worked the hardest on Morrowind—and it really shows.

tl;dr Morrowind's story and world just get better the more you learn about them. It gives the player the tools to enjoy the world and subsequently just leaves him or her in it. Morrowind is like a playground, whereas Skyrim is more like an amusement park. Highly recommended.

The original Fallout games are like New Vegas in terms of choice, but much different gameplay.
Bansheebutt Sep 5, 2016 @ 5:31pm
There is nothing that blends Action and Role-Playing as well as New Vegas.

I've heard things about the original Deus Ex, but I've not personally played it.
