(SOLVED) In-game display/settings WILL NOT SAVE

I don't know why, but they just won't save. After I've quit the game, I get back in and everything is set to default. I've looked at my .INIs but can't figure it out. This includes keybindings, hud color, game difficulty, etc. etc There may be a really simple solution to this, but so far I haven't found one.

Well figured it out...turns out I wasn't pressing the BACK button on the menu and that's why it wasn't saving...psh damn New Vegas why you gotta be so picky?

I have had the same issue, what works for me is once you have made the changes rather than closing the menu you need to press the back option (bottom right) until you get back to the main pause menu and then press continue.

That, and make sure your INI files aren't set read-only.

You can also open the console and type Saveini in-game if they keep becoming Read-Only.

bumping this cause I have this problem. Was first on google search so just pointing out to others who will play this game again in the future

mine wont save its not working all it does is reset every time

change keybinds make sure not to press back only the word settings (or anything) then type on console saveini next exit to main menu restart the game tested in fo3
