Katana mods: which merchant has 'em?
In my current playthrough, I'm using the GRA katana as my main weapon. So far, I've got one mod for it, the Balanced Grip. However, I want to get the other two katana mods as well. Who are the merchants that sell them?

It's random

That's what I was thinking, and what has me worried. I did get the Balanced Grip mod from a traveling merchant near the Mojave Outpost, after all. Are there any merchants who have a better chance at selling them, or is it just a flat rate throughout all the merchants?

Check the wiki. The article for each mod has that information.

your best bet for weapon mods is going to be Alexander at 188 and Vendortron at Gun Runner

I'm not sure but I think the weapons guy at Mick and Ralph's in Freeside has them

I was just playing and Mick did have a Katana mod in his special stock.

Katana and chainsaw weapon mods are extremely rare to spawn. This is partly why I usually just use the Weapon Mod Vending Machine mod.

Convenient ink: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/41267

The Vending Machine mod does make weapon mods much, much easier to find, but it's also more expensive to get them from the vending machine than a storefront (but you can customize what the price markup is). If you don't use the mod, you can just use the wait function until a weapon mod that you want spawns into a merchant's inventory. The vending machine mod is fairly balanced, and it saves a lot of time. Not much reason not to use it.

Id suggest dont use the vending mod machine as it will sell the weapon mods at a higger price Instead unless u have the caps for it. Instead i suggest to use these mods of u If have the fook mod and mcm mcm mod installed

Mod loot-https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39592 -add weapons mods on enemies which depending on which mod u chose from will make it either harder or just plain cheating

Nammo - https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/65499 - mod works similar as the first mod except it make npcs use the different ammos it has like the player does u can customiza how u want to npc to use the ammos type as well as change the %the enemy can drop the mods

Pretty sure the Dino store has a few.
