About Lonesome Road perk( SPOILER ALERT! )
The wiki said in order to get this perk, do not release ED-E from the Maintenance and Storage area before entering Ulysses' Temple. But If I do not release ED-E, I can't even pass the first locked door in The Silo quest! Am I misunderstand the description?

You are in the silo, right? Not in Ulysse temple? You have to release ede to keep going, and near the end ede will be taken away from you and you'll have the choice to release him or not for the final battle. If you don't, you'll get the perk.

Before I talk to Ulysse, can I go back and release ED-E and still get the perk? I want to get THE END ending.

No, at least not without console/glitching.

There is no real point releasing ed-e just before the final fight as he wont be of great use, and anyway that wont change anything about the rewards you can get. But be sure you are lvl 100 in speech if you want Ulysse to fight alongside you and survive.

Isn't that I need ED-E to stop launch?

You mean, the launching of the missile? No you wont need it, you will either get ulysse on your side or kill him, and either way will cancel the launching. Then you will get to a console and have the choice to launch a nuclear strike on the NCR, legion, both or neither. No ede needed anyway.

As far as I know, the only way to cancel the launch is for ED-E to die overriding the console. Otherwise you need to either redirect the missiles towards the NCR, Legion, or both

Well you get pretty good stuff, a good challenge fighting the marked peoples in the areas you nuked and either NCR, legion or Khan fame by choosing to launch the nukes, while you only get some follower of the apocalypse fame if you cancel the launch, so there is no real point canceling it, except for the rp of course.

No, you are wrong. Just tested it without ED-E i cannot stop the launch and killing Ulysse will not help because the launching is on countdown

I'll try when I'll be on my pc and i'll tell you then.

You cannot abort the launch without that beeping ball of junk in any way. I don't even know about mods that would let you do it. And it doesn't matter if you deal with Ulysses in a peaceful or aggressive manner.
