Fallout New California
I'm a bit surprised how much traffic this forum still has and so I thought I'd leave a recommendation here.

Many of you will know it already, but for those who don't, you should try the "Fallout New California" total conversion, a very well done DLC-sized mod for FNV.

"Fallout New California" takes place a few years before the events of FNV. In the beginning, you will spend some time in Vault 18, before leaving it into the wasteland. Here you will make your first decisions which will shape the story and lead to different endings.

The map is of decent size (maybe 2/3 of the FNV map). Landscape is similar to FNV, but with less desert and more vegetation. Quests are nice, characters are interesting, voice acting is good, story is lore-friendly.

I don't want to spoil too much, just have a look at this gem of a mod.

Honestly I didn't like New California at all. It felt like it was trying to do way too much for what the engine could handle, and the story just felt eh. Nowhere near as bad The Frontier.

One must install the 4 GB patch after installing the mod, then everything will run fine, even the bigger battles.

That and also a lot of it feels "empty". Not just devoid of assets, but empty of soul and feel, empty of reason, barebones textures, etc. Just... empty. For me anyway.
