Save File Location? (Solved)
I've not played fallout in a while and I'm not done with it yet. However, my game has come to a halt because of a crash I'm getting. I detailed it in this thread.

I have tried almost everything to try to fix it; mods, waiting it out to see if it would fix itself, going to a different area, verifying my game cache, etc. However, I have not tried uninstalling and reinstalling. But, I do not want to lose my progress.
Where can I find my save files in my computer?
I would like to move them to a place where they won't be deleted.

Really, why? The Documents folder has been the default savegame location for most games for almost 15 years now.

Is there a certain folder for these saves or is it just in the fallout nv folder. I press save game in game and it never saves and if there is a folder then I don't have it and don't know how to select a location for saving the game

The game saves to your personal Windows Documents folder, under My Games\FalloutNV.

Problems saving are usually caused by the "anti-ransomware" functionality built into your security software. For example, Windows 10's "Controlled Folder Access" may well be your problem:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/microsoft-defender-atp/customize-controlled-folders#allow-specific-apps-to-make-changes-to-controlled-folders

If you don't have Controlled Folder Access turned on, then you may be running other third-party security software (eg McAfee, BitDefender, etc....) with similar features.
