Mr. House and The Brotherhood Of Steel
I am a big fan and a member of the brotherhood of steel, and I've done everything I can for them that I am aware of. I'm still trying to trigger Veronica to get her BoS questline to start.

However, I was reading about Mr. House and his main questline, and it looks like he might want me to destroy them and their bunker.

I don't mind the spoilers, so if I want to keep the brotherhood around and on my good side, is it possible to get Mr. House to work with them like the Boomers, or am I going to have to kill him at that point, and take over New Vegas myself?

It's been a really long time since I've beaten the game myself. I just recently got the game for pc an have been playing it constantly these past couple days. But I do believe is you have to kill house and save them yourself since house will destroy any who oppose him. I could be wrong, like I said its been a while.

No, but there is a mod that uses some of the leftover unused lines and expands them to a short speech challenge to avoid that part of the quest:

You cannot avoid eradication the BoS for the Legion though. The House mod uses a bit of a long stretch, but it can fit. The Legion sparing them won't, so there the BoS goes boom.

Oh wow great! Thank you for the mod info I'll be using that for sure.

As for the Legion, I killed Cesar and all his men by myself, so I made it clear whose side I'm on. :)

Interesting opinion Connie.

There is a way to spare the brotherhood if you follow the NCR. at first they want the brotherhood destroyed, but you can convince them to work together.

'Saving' the brotherhood is also quite a bad thing, because unless you force them to bend their knee to the NCR, they always end up doing exactly what House tells you they will. They become little more than tech raiders, and cause problems in the region for quite some time.

That's one of the reasons I usually end up blowing up their bunker nowadays. :P

I almost always blow them up regardless, because the brotherhood is the worst faction in fallout, just like it was the worst faction in wasteland.

Everyone has their own opinion, but personally I really enjoy energy weapons and the brotherhood, and in my game, they will be treated with respect. :)

That's one of the great things about this game, you have the freedom to decide how to shape this world the way you want it.

Really? They're kinda zenophobic, but I'm pretty sure they're less destructive to everyone else than, say, the Fiends.

I try to get the power armor training and Veronica's quest done, then blow the crap out of them. :)

Wow so much hate for the Brotherhood, well they can count on me to keep them going strong at least. :)

They're far more destructive, actually, as all the faction leaders point out that a single paladin all on his own is quite the formidable opponent, and they have a bunker full of them. Raider groups like the fiends eventually collapse on their own, while the brotherhood is locked up tight in an installation that provides most of what they need, and they've gone on for 200 years without changing their ideals or structure.

Nothing good comes from keeping them around, unless you go through the long process of securing the elder's position, do all their quests, become a paladin yourself, and use your influence to force a truce with the NCR.

I DID do all the quests and I changed the Elder, and I have my power armor training as well as membership.
I imagine this new Elder will be willing to do this truce?
Vassago Rain Nov 4, 2016 @ 12:24pm
No, the new elder is a mega conversative, who hates the outside world, and has as his paladin test the destruction of the Van Graffs.

You must support McNamara, or the only option is to destroy the brotherhood. Hardin gives a flat refusal if you bring up the idea that maybe a truce with the NCR is in their best interest.
