Modding, overwriting files
Am installing NMC large texture pack, when I try to put the data files into my data folder to install, it asks me if I want to overwrite some files. I am not sure if I should overwrite those files

Manual modding is always a terrible idea. Use a mod manager. And texture are *usually* safe to overwrite.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, I'm using Fallout mod manager and a guide told me to extract all my mods to the data folder in order to be able to use them

The guide should have said to use FOMM and let it handle the installation. Only add the packages (RARs, ZIPs, 7Zs) to its mod list, so FOMM handles all the file operations.

Normally, yes. I use ModOrganizer 2, which has a different logic behind it, but the gist is the same: only deal in packages, let the mod manager handle the file operations.

Yes, you can drop them in there. But it's always prudent to make a backup
