Is Endurance useful?
Im making a guns based build in new vegas. Charisma is basically pointless so i set it to 1. Strenght is only useful at 5.
Intelligence 5 becuse my im playing as an average joe.
Perception 6,7?
Endurance 7,8?

Endurance is only needed if you want to pick perks that require it. Otherwise, you can set it to 1 if you want, it barely makes any real difference in your final HP pool.
Remember though that endurance affects the amount of implants you can have. So it might be worth it to throw some extra points into endurance to get implants later in the game.

Endurance doesn't limit the number of OWB implants (although they are of limited usefulness anyway), unless you download a mod that fixes that oversight.
Yea the OWB implants didn't get limited by endurance but the ones from the followers of the apocalypse did get limited by endurance.

But all they did was add +1 to a S.P.E.C.I.A.L stat except for 2 that where
"much more expensive"

I usually end up getting every implant they have to offer because later in the game you have like 100k caps and nothing to do with them.
About the vanilla implant (special bonus, etc) :

the regen one is not that useful (+1HP per 10sec), even in hardcore its not that usefull since you can get tons of healing items like nuka/sunset, any food etc (good them eatin perk for "overkill amount" of healing stuff if needed or could be already included in your perk build)

charisma is pointless and endurance implant dont give another "implant slot" which mean its only use is to have +20 HP,+5% poison and +2% rad resist and +2 to concerned skills which is nothing

So that give us only 5 S P E C I A L implants and one +4 SD implant, that mean you need at least 6 END to have every "usefull" implant

I'd still call the END implant useful even if not high priority. Doesn't it still qualify for Perk requirements?
Nah, it just helps your perks and hp a little bit. I keep mine around 4 or 5 though, but you can really just put it at 1 or 2.
Implant do go towards requirements yes.

well having more END doesn't hurt but for perks requirement 6 END is enough for most of them (only solar energy, irradiated beauty,rad absorption and implant GRX perks require more than 6) and the implant "qualifie for perk requirement but dont give you access to another implant for "free"

i admit i underestimate the usefulness of having more END but except for specific perks you wont gain much value for having 8 END instead of 6

As i said before 6 END is the least minimum to get most of the implant and perks the game can offer, except for CHArisma its a error to have 1 or 2 in ANY SPECIAL
