Hand-loaded rounds...Are they worth the effort?

Although I do it just for the extra edge, when it comes to 12,7 mm SMG which is pretty much a monster sized assault rifle, I don't think it's worth the effort for the extra punch to coat the bullets with more metal and add more powder... Or minigun. Vigilant Recycler's optimized cells sounds better.

They take more materials and, in some cases, weapon durability, but they are definitely worth it. It's not like it's hard to deal with both downsides by the time you're mass producing hand-loads.

Depends on the ammo type. For many, yes, they are by far the best ammo. Almost as overpowered as the similarly perk-locked optimised energy cells for energy weapons.
