2) Then install One HUD and DO NOT OVERWRITE ANY OF DARN'S FILES!
3) Then install One HUD's Darnified patch and allow this single file to overwrite.
4) Make sure that you have UIO and you should be set.
No disrespect to Gopher, but his instructions are misleading. If you overwrite Darn files, you lose the functionality in the file you're overwriting, and UIO can't repair lost data.
The way to install UI mods is this:
1) You install whatever UI overhaul you intend to work as a base for your setup, most often Darnified.
2) You install your other UI mods, never overwriting any of Darn's files unless it is a patch specifically designed to do so.
3) You use UIO so that the changes from your other UI mods are injected into the correct files. As long as the mods have UIO support, which all worth mentioning does have, you're all set.
