Arcade Gannon gives more stimpack healing and the "For Auld Lang Syne" quest but is too indecisive.

Veronica Santangelo is a walking workbench but is too emo.

I give it to Arcade. His medical perk is good for long run and shoot energy weapon pretty well. But Veronica is also good if you want to craft in the middle of wasteland. For me, she prefer close combat and a little but tank with power armor but dont use explosive or you gonna hurt her.

I'd prefer Raul. Good perk for your gear and godly with gun. His chat is pretty fun too.

Oddly enough, she has high energy weapons skill but her default ranged weapon is a small gun.

Arcade's storyline can give you one of the best power armours. Right before the final mission. And power armours in this game are still bad.
Veronica's quest does not really give you anything. In return, if her AI decides to not be suicidal, she can single-handedly beat pretty much anything to death. Especially if you give her a super-heated saturnite fist. (Not joking, she is the most-damaging companion and she beats enemies up with her fists. But sometimes her AI just derps out and she essentially becomes mincemeat in seconds.)
