Anyone have a mod to make Pistols/Revolvers/Etc holster correctly on long dusters?
Meaning holstering in a way that avoids such major clipping? On the Courier Duster for instance, holster a pistol and you can only see a fraction of it while the rest disappears under the coat, annoys me a little, thought I'd check around and see if anyone in the community fixed it for themselves and feels generous :D

Nope, since you would have to make animations for all weapons for all armour. On most games, you get clipping, the weapon is floating near you, or you do not have a holster animation at all.

Don't care about the animation being proper or anything. Just want pistols to look the same on dusters as they do on, say, combat armor. And if that meant theyd look weird on combat armor if I wore it instead, I don't mind

Then try your luck. Search for "holster" on the New Vegas Nexus. There are around 5-6 mods that attempt to address your issue. Maybe one of them will suit your needs. I know that I did not like any of them, but mileage may vary.

Yeah, tried this already, nothing seems to be what I'm looking for

Sadly, that is the entire choice palette. Holstering is an animation, and animation mods on engines like this are always incredibly difficult.

But thats the thing, the animation for holstering doesn't need to change, I really don't care if my character is putting the pistol one place yet it's appearing in another. Wouldn't it be more of a simple matter of changing where the gun model appears on the skeleton once the holster animation has concluded?

I am not sure that the holstered weapon is still not part of an animation file rather than a skeleton file.
