missing holotape
i started dead money, went to the police station, found dog, went downstairs for the command holotape, i picked it up. when i got back to dog he was god before i even played the holotape, but it's been a while so i rolled with it.
now i have to get god out to talk him into helping trigger the gala event, but i realized even though i picked up god's holotape (i went back to the police station, it's gone) it's not in my misc. data.
console commands are not working, load order is 03 so what i'm putting in goes as follows; player.additem 0300dfcf 1
i get base ID not valid, script not saved or some ♥♥♥♥.
please help.

DM is usually 02, not 03. Are you sure about that 03?

DM is usually 1 or 5.
Are you sure you didn't pick it up already? The holotape in the Police Station basement is the "Dog Command Tape". The other one is the "Prisoner Commands" tape. They should be close together in your notes.

If it's definitely missing, any of these will work, with the correct load order index in place of x.

my load order must be all jacked up then because from the top it goes caravan pack, classic pack, dead money and falloutNV etc.
i just tried all different variations of the commands you gave me and i get script not found or parameters for object ID not found. im literally standing in the police station basement looking at the table it's supposed to be on.

Open the console and click on the wall or the floor. It will give you an ID number.
The first two digits are the load order index.

so, yesterday after giving up on console commands and going on a looting spree the holotape miraculously popped up in my notes... top of the list, unread like i just picked it up... even though console commands failed... why do we put ourselves through things for bethesda games?
