Can I install a 2nd copy of FONV to use with TTW?

I'm deep into a modded FONV playthrough that I don't want to discard. However, I want to revisit FO3 and I want to play it with the New Vegas engine via Tale of Two Wastelands. Is it possible to install a second, clean/unmodded version of FONV on my computer for the specific purpose of using it for TTW? If so, how do I do it?

if I were you, I'd copy my new vegas folder, get a fresh install from steam, move it somewhere else, put your original folder back in place, and then use mod organizer 2 in the fresh install folder. MO2 will integrate with steam from any path.

Yes, just not within Steam. You either need to buy it on a second account and isntall it elsewhere (may not work since Steam shares registry entries on the same computer), buy the GOG version (see above), or just use ModOrganizer 2 and set up mod profiles. :)

That's stupid. Just save a load order txt. And then deactivate, and install TTW

With wrye flash you can right click on one of your saves and do "load masters" and it will enable only mods used by said save. Fine for multiple mod installs where loose files aren't conflicting.

Though usually the only thing needed to swap out is your ini files since TTW changes the starting quest.
