Fallout New Vegas 2019 beginner modding checklist...
I proposed this question on reddit and this dude gave me an awesome guide to start.

I followed it to a tee and everything is working (after much trial and error)

I understand your frustration. I've been there.

Let's start from scratch. Uninstall and delete every mod from NMM. Uninstall the game. Check where you installed the game, delete the remains (Fallout New Vegas folder). Go to Documents/My Games, delete FalloutNV folder. Reinstall, run the game, it will check for your specs and create config files in Documents/My Games/FalloutNV. Disable VSync. Check Windowed. Start NMM, pick New Vegas. There shouldn't be anything in your mod list.

Don't start NMM yet.
4GB Patcher -> Do whatever he says under installation. Don't use NMM. You will launch the game through FalloutNV.exe from now.
NVSE -> clear read.me instructions, goes in Fallout New Vegas folder.
NMM starts now.
Anti Crash -> Download with NMM. Double click, install.
One Tweak -> Download with NMM. Double click, install.
YUP -> Download with NMM. Double click, install.
WMIM -> Gun bug fixes. Download with NMM. Double click, install. If it says "Hey, YUP already has this file, overwrite bla bla" click "Yes to all".
Stutter Remover -> This one is tricky. Download with NMM, double click, install. Go to Fallout New Vegas/Data/nvse/plugins You will see an .ini file there named sr_New_Vegas_Stutter_Remover.ini. Open it. Now go here. Change your .ini file's values to his values. Don't delete anything, just make everything the same as his.
Forget about Fallout 3 Crash, LOOT, whatever. You don't need them. Game should run fine now without any problems.

wanted to get everyone's opinion? My only problem began at trying to get ANTI CRASH NVAC to install on Nexus Mod Manager

I get an an error message problem, the nvac anti vac is showing me this error https://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema

i didn't have it before :/ it says error can't install

"A problem occurred during install: The Root element of a W3C XML Schema should be <schema> and its namespace should be 'https://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema' mod was not installed :/

do you know what to do to fix it? side note, everytime open up NExus mod manager it says do i want to change to read me INI (i say no) does this influence it?

D:\Temp\Rar$DIa14388.14599\ModuleConfig.xml

it won't let me change the error mesage...Now since i have the NVSE data/plugin, will manually putting the NVAC.DLL suffice??

and do i have to bring the XML documents with it? Or just movethe NVAC.DLL into the data/nvse/plugins spot? and it will work?

What sucks is that before it did install just fine don't know why this error message came up....

What i did is read the read me and move the NVAC.DLL into the data/nvse/plugins ....will this suffice?

and i am having issues with my mouse...it feels like it is not responding....I did the foreground accelaration stop thing....anyone else got advice?

I manually put in nvse and 4gig....then let everything else NMM do...(except for NVAC)

That is a recurring NMM error message, it is not working with FOMODs for months. Dig up an old legacy version or choose any of the five other mod managers.

Don't use NMM anymore, it's no longer supported on the nexus site. It has problems with some mods and cannot process mods with large file sizes. Try Vortex instead, it's the new recommended mod mgr on Nexus. You'll have a much easier time.

I shouldn't have switched mid playthrough (even though i just started) from NMM to VORTEX...Also i have to figure out what to do about the conflict between MESH and YUP.

But I did get my list of mods i posted all successfully installed. Even NVAC (which i did manually along with 4 gig and NVSE)

Stutter needed me to change values

Is there any other imperative mods that I am missing? Since it will be my first playthrough i don't want mods that help me get advantages. Just fixing and content...
