Revert its INI changes.
Install VUI+
Realise that it still uses a very wide font that is a lot less readable with small sizes and go back to DarnUI.
This is pretty much it. People are likely to forget the second step.
Keep in mind that modifying UI mods after all other mods were installed completely breaks every single other mod that has anything to do with the user interface in any manner (including every MCM-using mod) in 100% of the cases.
Okay, but I didn't. I was meaning replace, as in not have it be the main goto UI mod to have, not to entierly replace it as if I have darnUI installed already.
augh, okay, I'll clarify. First of all, I am sorry for being vague and convoluted, it's rather late where I am right now.
Ao, first and for most, I DO NOT and HAVE not installed DarnUI with the current adding of mods I am doing. I want to add VUI+ and ONLY VUI+ by itself as a UI mod.
My major question was asking where do I install it and what do I install before or after it, I did not want to add it on top of DarnUI or along side DarnUI.
I only said what I did, because I have only used DarnUI solely for my UI mod and I want to change it up. Again, I am very sorry for the confusion.
In this case, the same rules apply. Install VUI+ before anything else, then add Project Nevada (if you want), then MCM, then all MCM-using mods, then all gameplay-changing mods, then all gameplay-addition mods, then all quest mods, and finally all graphical mods that modify meshes.
As long as your installation is fresh and you have no leftover INI edits from using DarnUI, you should be okay now.
Also, I highly recommend using ModOrganizer, since it makes going back, changing, deleting, or adding mods later much easier and faster. Currently, MO1 works the best with New Vegas, but you can experiment with MO2 or the Vortex manager.
Yep, I've been using MO2, thank you though.
