Need help with Type3 and ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated
Okay, I'm kind of lost with what I'm doing wrong. I know that this is talked about a fair amount, but I need someone to hold my hand through this.

I'm trying to build up my modlist from scratch, but I'm tripping over the first hurdle - Dimonized Type3 Body. I've installed the file correctly (everything is being installed through Mod Organizer 2), but there's a black cloth (?) texture that seems baked onto the lower half/crotch area. Reading online, people have been saying there's some kind of problem related to older vs newer versions of ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated that causes this.

SO

I'd initially tried to use this version (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35935/?) to invalidate the ini files, but I guess it never worked (some people have been talking about activating it via the mod organizer itself, but I've only ever tried it manually).

After hearing there was a problem with older Invalidation programs, I switched to this version (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/52402?tab=description), which may or may not do what I need it to. Problem is, when I try to click "Enable Invalidation", the Invalidation Status bar (you can see it in the screenshot on that page) never actually switches to a green ENABLED; rather, it stays as a red DISABLED, even if I click the button two or three times.

What's more, running this program doesn't get rid of the black body texture on the Type3 body. I know that if I keep tripping over the very first hurdle like this it's just going to cause further problems down the road, but I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone help?

For reference, I have already run the 4GB patcher, I'm running through the NVSE executable via the MO2 launcher, and this is my list of enabled mods right now (I plan on adding a bunch more, but not before fixing the problem I'm running into right now):

Download Fallout mod manager (FOMM) manually from nexus https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/36901

once you've downloaded fomm, open it and go to tools and make sure achive invalidation is checked, and launch Fallout new vegas with it.

Downloaded, and the tool was checked. I unchecked it and rechecked it (two other ini files were changed from Read-Only to modifiable), and ran FNV through it. Game works fine (vanilla, of course)

Closed the game, tried to run it again with MO2, and I still have the black cloth texture

Do I have to reinstall everything with FOMM, converting all of my mods to FOMODS? I'm far more familiar with MO2 than I am with FOMM, so I really hope not, but if that's what I have to do...
Grab Vortex > Run the game once with ArchiveInvalidation disabled as well as the mod disabled (only disabled, not uninstalled) > Once in the game, quicksave, immediately quit > Re-enable AI and the mod and go back to your quicksave in game.

May or may not work with whatever launcher you're using too.

That's all I've got.

I wasn't sure what the purpose of downloading Vortex was, but here's what I tried:

1: Download Vortex, set it up to manage F:NV
2: I assumed you meant to enable/disable AI via Vortex, like how one can do it via FOMM, but I couldn't figure out how. So, I went into both AI programs I already have installed, and disabled them both.
3: Launch game via Vortex
4: New game, character creation, once Doc Mitchell helps me out of bed (the first time when you're able to go into 3rd person view), I did a manual save and quit
5: Enable AI via both programs again (at first I tried just using the second program, Archive Invalidation File Generator, but it still had the red DISABLED message, so I left it and tried to enable it via the first AI program instead)
6: Launch the game via NVSE in MO2, load save
7: Notice my problem is still there. Cry

I appreciate the suggestion, but I haven't gotten anywhere. I know I haven't followed what you said to the letter, but I'm not sure what else I'd be expecting to change here. I'm sorry if this feels like herding cats, but I'm still stuck with this problem

The black panties glitch comes from improper texture and mesh override rules. Simply put, make sure that you install Dimonized last (only add Dimonized-compatible armour replacers after it), and do a quick archive invalidation disable and enable in your mod manager (FOMM is the easiest one to use for this).
