Help with Mod Conflicts?
Hi I am playing Fallout New Vegas again after a long time and I thought I will use a few Mods this time. So I have installed a fair few Mods but I am having trouble with Mod Conflicts.

Vortex which is what Nexus Mod Manager is called now is telling me I have quite a few Mod conflicts and I am not sure if I have selected the right Mods to load after in my load order.

These are the list of my conflicts:

I am hoping there is someone here who can tell me which Mod to place after which Mod?

Isn’t there a “ignore” option? I don’t use NMM anymore so I’m kinda out of ideas. Just launch the game through the NVSE launcher.

Do you have Xedit? If not download the FNV version and look for any non-green columns. This indicates that multiple scripts are trying to override each other. Hence the conflict, some can be ignored, but it can cause major issues if it’s something like an NPC edit. It can take awhile to clean your load order of conflicts but it’s always proves to be helpful to do so. :cozybethesda:

I know there are conflicts and I used to know how to do some basic edits in xedit also a few years back when I used to play fnv and skyrim.

BUT I am playing after a long time and I don't remember much and don't have the inclination to find out what so many conflicts are and to manually figure out each one. That is why I was hoping some new vegas moding expert who also uses NMM (Vortex) can quickly tell me which mod needs to be loaded before/after which mod...

It is normal. Many mods overwrite the same files. The engine handles it by letting the last mod in the load order "win."
If you are really bothered by it, download FNVedit (unless it has some even newer replacement), and create a merged patch.

trouble is they have completely changed NMM now and it doesn't let you launch the game unless you tell it what to do with these conflicts.

It doesn't even overwrite one mod's files with another's during installation anymore. It will ask you to select which mod wins the conflict later and thats where I am confused. I tried selecting what makes sense to me and I am having issues...

here's an example:

no problem thanks for your help anyways.

The main problem is the BS method of resolving conflicts now.

As I said, it doesn't just overwrite the files during installation now but asks the user which mod should win the conflict later and even if I start the game from steam or nvse I have glaring issues in the game.

Anyways, I am giving up gonna reinstall all mods again using another Mod launcher and if that doesn't help cut down on some of the mods...

Thanks again.
