If you kill the Van Graffs, a script moves their entire stock to the Gun Runners.

If you plan on helping the BoS then i would let them kill cass, as if you COUP the Elder, the New Elder assigns you a mission to take them out and you can plunder then.

I ended up killing both Crimson Caravan and the Van Graffs. Just felt bad that Cass got the short end of the stick and I'm now a merciful thug to the NCR.

The only thing I ever use their shop for is a cheap and easy way to get some of the more rare energy wepons, after a quick trip to the restroom.

There is a mod[www.nexusmods.com] that lets you lie to Jean Baptiste that Cass' dead.

Although after 1.3 official patch, if you complete the Cass' companion quest in a peaceful way(present the evidence to Ranger Jackson), Van Graff faction automatically turns hostile to the players if you have Cass nearby to them. So make sure she wait someplace else.

Also I have to remind you that script for Gun Runners to sell the unique weapons in Van Graff rarely work(as pretty much any other script in this game ). So keep in mind to that, as well.

You'd probably do more harm with the other method all things considered.
