Red Rock Canyon Crashing
I entered Red Rock Canyon from the back way having to fight through a ton of Cazadores. I went to the Longhouse looking for NPCs but it was nighttime so I couldn't find anyone.

I've found that during the day AND night approaching the back area of the canyon (toward where I entered) consistently causes a crash. Since I am not sure where the quest givers are, this presents a bit of a problem.

Besides waiting for the Cazadore corpses to despawn and hoping for the best, is there a place where I can see the location of the NPCs, or an explanation for why that area specifically crashes?

The back area has the Aba Daba Honeymoon quest, it is a good source of high-end combat drugs.

Do you have the usual mandatory stabilisers, mostly the ones covered in the stability thread?
If you do, do you run any mods?

Yeah the problem is I run quite a few mods, including the stablizers and CASM, so I'm not sure which would conflict. I ran into a similar problem near Ranger Station Bravo after killing some Cazadores, so it's my best guess.

I did have some crashing issues with Spring Mt. but they were not consistent.

As an update, after finishing NVBounties I and II, I came back to the Red Rock Canyon with Russell, with no crash.

There was a Russell quest in that area and I had to kill some Cazadores to get there. On returning to the cell, it consistently crashes now.

It appears that the root of my problem is with Cazadore corpses. I run the Monster Mod which adds yellow jackets and the cazadore queens. Not sure which one is making the game unstable, also not really sure what to do about it.

Or the combination of Russell and MoMod, maybe even the Bounties. Too many things affecting that single cell. The engine always hates that.

I know this is old, but I am currently having the same problem in Red Rock when trying to do Russells quest. I thought it was that mod at first, but the game still crashes even after disabling. I also run the monsters mod. I was wondering if you ever found the source of the problem and if you found a solution. Please let me know. Thank you

Okay, I literally just tested this. Every where in Red Rock is fine except for that little part where Finely is. I teleported away to be sure the cazadore corpses would despawn. I come pack, walk around Red rock just fine. Then I go to talk to finely, and like always, it crashes. I have no idea what is the issue as it seems to just be that ONE little spot

I think for me I made sure the cazadors despawned and it seemed to help. It has been such a long time I can't remember if I did anything else, but for sure despawning them.

Another Necro bump, but I also had this issue in the same area. I had it consistently when trying to get the eggs for Red Lucy, after getting the eggs and trying to exit the area heading towards the Khans area. Ended up just getting the eggs and fast travelling away to avoid it. But now im doing Russell's quest and I crash when entering the area from the NCR outpost just below jacobstown. I managed to get the consistent crashing to stop by disabling Monster Mod (and my smash patch because it relied on it), and entered the area without issue. gonna finish up his quest in the cave, leave, then re-enable both MoMod and my smash patch.
