Help with NCR Ultimate Overhaul Mod
Hi, so I've gotten back into playing Fallout New Vegas and as such, I've re downloaded all my mods. One of them is NCR Ultimate Overhaul. So i extracted the files and pasted the contents into:
Local disk/Program Files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/Fallout New Vegas/Data
Something went wrong and now all the NCR NPCs at the Mojave Outpost for example are all red exclamation marks. I don't get it, I just installed the meshes, how is it missing?

The game reads meshes, textures, and sound from BSA archive files. If you overwrite them by placing loose files in the data folder, then you must build an archive invalidation text file. Since for some ungodly and unexplainable reason you decided to add the mod manually instead of using any of the *five* available mod managers, you need to do it yourself. The good news is at least you do not have to write the file yourself, there are methods for it:

I didn't really have a choice haha, this mod was downloaded from a separate site and had to be installed manually. I usually prefer Nexus Mods but this one in particular was too good of a mod and unfortunately had to be downloaded manually.

Also I'm not sure how to do this. I can't even find my BSA files anywhere in the folder, it's just not there

Even if the mod is downloaded from another site or manually from the nexus site you can still usually add the mod to the mod manager list for installation. There's virtually no reason to install mods by dropping them into the folder. It causes all sorts of problems.

So how would I go about doing this than? Please excuse my lack of knowledge to modding, but I'm not too familiar with the methods.

All mod managers have an "add archive" or similar function for adding mods through manual downloads. Even Vortex supports this, since downloading through a manager can be slow and unstable. It is a function in NMM as well, albeit I think you can literally just drag&drop the compressed files into its install window.
