Mod Assault Carbine

I have GRA enabled and can't seem to mod my assault carbine. I try to get either, get parts for both and it won't let me mod it (GRA parts don't mod vanilla or GRa, vanilla don't mod GRA or vanilla).

What am I doing wrong?

You need a weapon called (GRA) to add weapon mods. Or use one of the universal weapon mod game mods (WMX or WME), they let you add modifications to base game variations as well.
