7zip or winrar for nvse?

I can’t extract nvse with 7zip, so should I just try winrar to extract the files? On windows 10 btw

NVSE it a .7z archive. It literally means it is for 7zip. If you cannot extract it, then it means the download is corrupt.
Also, in general, forget WinRAR. It is a piece of archaic software. It is like still trying to use MSN Messenger for chatting.

My computer won't let me extract it directly with 7zip. Like when I right click the link, it doesn't have 7zip show up. Do I have to download a different version, or am I doing it wrong?

You're kinda doing it wrong, because 7zip doesn't add itself to the list of available programs. You need to do it yourself.
Right mouse button on the archive > open with > option on the bottom > more apps > go to the bottom if necessary > find an app on this computer > go where your 7zip is installed > choose 7zFM.exe, done

The options you have to choose might be worded differently since I'm not on a English version of Windows right now and translating it roughly.
