NVSE download problems
every time i click the link and download NVSE, nexus mod manager downloads it as a mod and it gives me no option to do anything else. when it does that, it results in the NVSE not working and not being installed properly. im trying to download this the conventional way but it wont let me. is there any way to fix this?

That is weird as NMM does not assign extension grabbing of zip files. Whatever program you use for uncompressing files go into that and reassign file extensions to it which should remove it from however nmm is grabbing them.

You can also right click on the link and choose save as it it will let you force save it to hard drive choice.

i agree its very weird. i installed SKSE just fine. but FOSE and NVSE refuses to go anywhere else but NMM. i uninstalled both games and all the mods deleted. the reinstalled them then i right clicked on the souce link like you said and it tries to download NVSE to my skyrim mod list. its absolutly crazy why its doing this.

and again thanks for responding to me i didnt think id get a response. but these two script extenders are super stubern for some reason

You're using the mod manager to download the files? Or are you installing them with NMM? You should be able to just copy/ paste the .dll's and the .exe to the main directory and be done.

i just go to google type in NVSE installer i go to the silverlock site, i click on the the link to download the NVSE then it starts the download. when its done, my nexus mod manager just automatically opens up and downloads it like a mod. it gives me no option to download it anywhere. and when i look in downloads. it say (nvse_5_1_beta4) with the nexus mod manager logo next to it. every single time.

NMM puts those files in one of its subfolders. Simply extract it manually from there.

Open the NVSE zip file with Winrar or 7-zip instead of NMM.

Don't use Nexus Mod Manager at all, if you got several mods that overwrite each other, it'll create a mess in your game files. It also has a lot of trouble handling prepared installers.

I recommend Mod Organizer 2, since that one works without actually modfying your base game. If you really want the official program though, Nexus just released Vortex, which seems to be close to MO2, although it's still in beta.
