I just discovered an amazing way to shoplift from Silver Rush

I don't know if this has been done before, but this is a very quick and easy way to steal from the Silver Rush store in Freeside. Simply press Z to move the weapon(s) you want to steal into a corner where no one can see you (I use the corner that has 4 Laser Rifles), then crouch, the [DETECTED] sign goes to [HIDDEN] once in a while when the guard looks away, that's when you steal the guns.

True, but that takes a bit longer, especially if you want to take a lot of stuff.
Just remember to Quick Save before stealing them, so if you get caught you can just load that save.

I am semi-sure this has been even written in the Silver Rush wiki entry for years. But yes, you can steal most any world item this way, as long as there is a safe and cozy empty spot nearby.

Never use Quicksave!
It contains records from characters one played years ago, which don't even have "real" saves anymore.

Or just finish some quests, and you’ll find that the guards don’t do much looking...
