Game Crashes Halfway through Honest Hearts
So after exploring the map of Honest Hearts and doing some of the main quests, I've begun to have constant crashes. It began occuring after I finished the two missions to kill the advanced scouts and to clear the bridge of traps. After about five to ten minutes of playing the game will crash and send me back to the desktop.

Thinking it was my save, I proceeded to make an entirely new character and rush to the same point in Honest Hearts. Once I got to the same point (beating the two missions) the game crashed in a similar manner. I have no ideas as to what it could be, and can only offer some details:

-The game would crash occasionally after fast-traveling, but not all the time

-I read before that sometimes the game would crash if you had a quest item in your inventory. I don't have any, and the only one I could think of would be the White Leg's War Banner when clearing out the scouts. I picked both up while I killed the rest of the enemies.

-I only have the 4G mod installed, no other mods

-The game is not straining my system, I've played through the vanilla game up to level 32 and the entire Old World Blues DLC without this problem. I have not touched either Dead Money or Lonesome Road yet.

-I have verified the game's files through Steam, and the issue still occurred.

Any insight into how to fix this problem would be greatly appriciated.

My guess from these is that one or both quests did not properly finish running their scripts and eventually this causes some internal clashes. Download the community fixes (YUP, NVSE, NVAC) from this thread and try to do it again with a new character. Technically, these should fix the issue:

Seconding NVAC. You might even be able to continue using your old character(s), it made my first character's save functional again after reaching a point in the vanilla game that caused it to be unplayable (I think it was a corrupted save, it's been a while).
