Inventory items seperation bug
I usually fix most of my weapons and armor as high as I can to make them cost more when I sell them. However, the weird thing happens sometimes.

When you have more than one of the same weapon, and all of them have the same maximum condition of 100%, they're supposed to be numbered together; For example, if you have 3 9mm Pistols in your inventory and all of them are in the same condition, they're displayed on the same column; 9mm Pistol (3)

Still, sometimes when I do that, the weapons aren't numbered together in the inventory, and are in seperate columns, despite being the exact same weapons and being in the same condition with no modifications.

As far as I can tell, this bug isn't game-breaking (at least, I hope it isn't), but I'd preffer to be sure. Has anyone else encountered this bug, and has it ever caused problems?

yes i have encountered such bug, however in my case, the duplicate of the same weapon never appeared in my inventory. I fixed mine by droping that weapon and picking it up again.

Ancient UI bug and cannot really be fixed. Dropping the item is a good way to get around it, usually, so just follow that advice.
Also, even though the inventory is bugged, the item list is still okay, so if you sell them, you will still get the correct amount of money for 'em.

I think I figured it out. Not a fix, but the possible cause of the seperation. The inventory seems to be automatically seperating the stolen items from owned. I figured it out because I had 3 pairs of Boxing gloves and one of them was stolen. The other two have been numbered together in my inventory once I got them fixed by Major Knight at the Mojave Outpost (he has a 100 repair skill) and the third pair of gloves that got seperated was the stolen one. It worked that way for the other items.

Hopefuly this information will help some modders figure out a fix. Because it turns out, it this bug still effects items that weren't stolen.

Makes sense, as stolen items in Oblivion were always separated from normal stacks.
The difference is they had a permanent Icon indicating the stolen status.

Was probably considered unnecesary since FO3 and NV don't have an institutional crime system and NPCs only attempt to retrieve items they witness you stealing.
