FNV needs a lot of tweaking, simply installing an anti crash mod won't suffice.

First do a bit of reading here:

https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Fallout_NV_Mod_Conflict_Troubleshooting#Solutions_to_Performance_problems

You'll find enough information about Stutter Remover, ENB Boost and other tweaks here. You'll also learn about long known issues the game has and how you can deal with them. As a next step, go to Nexus and peruse the tech forums there. There are also tutorials (such as Gopher's) on how to tweak your game (every single time I did what he prescribed or installed one of his mods I ruined my game, but others praise him very much).

Then try tweaking your ini files either manually or with a tool such as Configator or BethIni. Here's the link to Configator:

https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/40442/?

Before using these tools you should backup your ini files. If you use mods such as IWS or FCO, turn them off as they're pretty heavy on your machine. If you still have crashes or slow downs, reduce graphic details and textures. Antialiasing and anisotropic filtering are also pretty demanding: reduce them or turn them off. Are you using high-res mods? Disable them. In addition, it can also be a hardware problem. Is your PC able to handle the game? Have you updated your drivers (however, I don't think this will help with FNV)? Is your computer overheating?

Use FOMM or NMM (I prefer FOMM) in order to download and manage your mods.

These are just very general pieces of advise, but you haven't stated at all whether your game is modded, what tools you're using, if you run it on Win7, 8 or even 10, or if you're trying to run the game on an age old potato. You see, without these technicalities really nobody can help you.

im running it on windows 10 on a half garbage laptop (i3 processor 8g of ram) the only mods i have are the stutter remover. I ♥♥♥♥ around with the console alot but ive been doing that for months and only in recent weeks have I crashed so much.

Alright, Windows 10 has some issues with older engines such as Gamebryo, which FO3 and FNV are running on. I use Windows 8, so I'm not an expert on that, but I've read a few posts about compatibility patches for Windows 10. Just google it.

I3 is really a potato. I'm running it on I5 and have to tweak the hell out of the game to get it running - but I'm using around hundred mods. Just take a look at Nyx's post here in the discussion: I've also posted a comment there in which I listed a number of helpful tools.

There are a few things you should consider doing:

1. do a few ini tweaks such as turning off gamepad vibration in ini files - these just waste memory, and FNV is already infamous for its memory issues
2. use NVSE and the newest 4GB patch
3. use ENB boost
4. use NVSE stutter remover to handle your fps, tweak the ini files accordingly so they don't handle fps anymore (don't do anything stupid with the heap replacer here - there are still people out there doing this...)
5. play the game in windowed mode - you can tweak enb.local (ENB boost) so the game runs in borderless windowed mode and use a configuration tool such as Configator for windowed mode itself (there's also a one-in-all mod doing this, just take a look at Nexus)
6. best use a tool such as Configator to switch of AA and anisotropic filters, reduce decals, use Bloom instead of HDR (or turn of both) etc. - don't forget you're running the game on a potato
7. turn of auto saves and saving on rest and menus
8. don't use quicksave (F5 and F9)
9. don't override savegames - always use a new savegame (delete unused savegames manually under c:/user/documents/mygames/New Vegas/save games or something like this) - this way you'll avoid bloated or corrupted save games

The game is infamous for having more and more problems the longer you play. This could be simply a bloated save game issue (compare the size of your save games to see if this is the case) or some other memory related problem. Perhaps you've done something stupid when using the console and the ensuing error perpetuated itself. Before you start doing the other stuff, and I would recommend doing these, you should simply reevaluate your Steam files. If anything got corrupted, you can download damaged files via Steam.

Then you should do a bit of reading, so you get an idea of what's ahead of you (over the time, I've done almost more reading than playing the game - that's a lot of hours spent on tutorials and in forums). Peruse the tech forums on the Nexus, read or watch a few tutorials on tweaking FNV, and take a look at following tutorial and do what they say:

https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Fallout_NV_Mod_Conflict_Troubleshooting#Issue:_Is_ENBoost_for_everyone.3F

Alright, nuff said. Good luck.

That is your problem then. Remove it and the crashes will suddenly become a lot less frequent.

Ill try that but the stutter remover was the only thing making the game playable

Not necessarily. Stutter Remover, if set correctly, isn't acutally known to cause such problems. If it were so, the crashes would occur right from the start, not after a certain period. My guess is some memory issue or bloated save games. But you can give it a try: if you're game is already unplayable, it won't get worse. Reduce your settings, remove the dll and the ini files from your plugins folder, and see if it works. Try different save games and see if crashes occur. Also start a new game and see if it works. If the problem still persists, you know that the stutter remover isn't the cause of it.
