How to check my current faction reputation numbers?
I was at Mixed with the Powder Gangers a few hours ago. I've done nothing against them, recieved no updated reputation popups, all I've done is kill Fiends and stuff around Vegas. Yet on my current save my Powder Gangers reputation is Sneering Punk for some reason?! I'd like to use console commands to rectify this, which I can only assume is a bug since I haven't done anything negative against the faction or even seen a reputation popup for them. All I did was enter the hideout at Whitaker Farm, which isn't marked as a red door, and the Powder Gangers inside aren't hostile. If entering at Whitaker is what messed it up, I still would like to change it because it's not a red door, I had no indication that such a thing was negative. I didn't even know Powder Gangers were in there!

I need to see my current reputation numbers on the old save so I can return them to what they were awhile ago.

I don't think they added a command that checks the reputation. You can try this, but I doubt the command exists:
player.getreputation 1558e6 0

That doesn't seem to do anything. Is it known exactly how much reputation certain quests give? I could always set everything to zero and then input proper reputation numbers for the quests I did.

You can open the quest scripts in GECK and check, but otherwise it is not collected.

Well... I did exactly what you said.

It's not easy. If anyone comes across this later and wants to give it a shot, the simplest thing to do is use the article on the Fallout Wiki that shows all the quest IDs, then right click on Quest in GECK and display the floating list, sort by ID, and find the name that way.

Found my numbers though, thanks.

Another quick tip... set faction reputations to zero before fixing. I tried setting them outright to what they should've been and I got shunned for some reason.

Because technically the game only allows you to increase fame and infamy, with only one scripted reset to 0 for the NCR and Legion.
Not to mention that reputation is not acting as a function of faction behaviour, but as milestones; if you pass certain thresholds, the factions will permanently start to behave in a certain way. This is why you cannot make them unhostile with reputation modification, hostility is handled through a script that has a one-way switch.
