Cant sign into nexus mod manager

I can't sign into nexus mod manager, because it says there is either a firewall put in place or the login servers are down, but I dont think it is either of these. I have downloaded multiple versions of nmm, updated windows, and turned off my firewall, but it still didn't work. I am able to sign in on the nexus website , but not the mod manager. Whenever I open nmm it never updates because it cannot get the update from nexus. Anyone know what is wrong with nexus mod manager for me?

It might be because they’re replacing NMM with Vortex.

Yes. NMM is old news. Use Vortex, ModOrganizer 2, Wrye Flash, or the FOMM fork.

I used FOMM for my TTW run of Vegas and I'm using MO2 for New Cal and they both run like a charm.
