Suggestion: Official FOSE?
It was great when Fo3 came out with the GECK, but it's weird that STILL Bethesda hasn't made their own supported FOSE (Fall-Out-Script-Extender) for all the latest FO's, why?

Also quick question, what does the Script Extender DO? I know it allows for mods and such, but is it comparable to 32bit to 64bit ect; for OS systems? I know thats a bad comparison, but I only know a little programming with C, other than that I've dabbled with others, but I am in no way a programmer but would like to learn when I get free enough time and mood to study.

Anyways! I'm guessing the script extender is like an extension for the limits of lets say, an exe or dll or something, so the exe is enabled to run with better permissions and higher limits? is that right?

It does what it says: it adds new commands and features into the games' scripting language. The scripting engine is responsible for all gameplay logic and anything associated with it; the "Gamebryo" part everyone likes to whine about is just the graphical engine, and for the most part, it is perfectly fine (many great games outside of Bethesda's portfolio use it).
MSE, OBSE, FOSE, SKSE, and NVSE extend the capabilities of these engines (they are slightly different from game to game) by letting you use new commands in your scripts for various new gameplay logic. This, with some decent coding, can go to the core of the game, influencing the most basic functions in it.

Sorry I forgot to mention that FOSE isn't working at all for me, not stable beta or experimentail beta.

Are you trying to run FOSE with New Vegas? That's not how it works. You need NVSE for New Vegas.

No first I got Fo3 and tried to get it working, it didn't. I clocked Fo3 pretty much but wanted another run through and wanted to start modding, if the game is unstable and the geck no work then ♥♥♥♥, I don't see how I could mod just yet....if I cannot even get the fukken game working then moving on...So I moved onto FoNV, have yet to use any mods, don't want them yet.

That is strange, FOSE works as intended even with the latest Windows 10 versions. Are you sure you are not having some inherent FO3 startup issue? I think FOSE needs you to start the game as vanilla first before you add its launcher. (Then again, it has been over 6 years since I played base FO3.)

Yeah if you had it on steam for a while, it's probably all set for playing, but now it's all confusing, old threads and you don't know which one still WORK's, not to mention for whatever problem you may or may not be having. I'm quite surprised Fo3 is NOT on beth launcher, weird! Yeah so the only game I got launcher for is fallout shelter ha ha, yeah its better now, the hype was all too real for fo4 and shelter seemed too grindy and literal cash grab, not the best thing for publicity but hey, it sold sold whatever.
