Fallout new vegas I cant get console commands to give me ammo or chems

When I use the command player.additem for anything except bottle caps it does not work

Bruh it dosnt work like that. If u want an item then u need to type the item id, followed by the amount u wan for an example
player. Additem 00166654 (small energy cells bulk) 5 (100)

That is not the command you are using. What are you actually typing in the console?

But that is not the stimpak code, the stimpak ID is 15169.

For ammo you need to specify an amount. For wearables and weapons, You also need to specify a durability. (Ie player.additem (weapon number) 1, 100

For items from specific dlcs it's a bit more tricky as the first two digits in the ID have to be the same as the loadorder of the dlc it comes from.
