Knockout
Is there a command, a mod or whatever you want that allows you to put KO opponents without the risk of killing them? I have such high strength that even with bare hands I easily kill the opponent with three or four punches. Is there a way to force an NPC to go into an unconscious state ?

Lets you use certain blunt weapons to knock out people. You can use the tie-up mod to tie them afterwards.

You can also try this, since normally, a knockout takes around 20-40 seconds, then they get back up: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/50224

I installed the first of the two, but the character is still too strong. It is almost taken for granted that with a couple of punches most opponents fall to the ground dead. I think it's the fault of the very high level that the character has achieved. If I install both, it may work, unless they disturb each other.
If anybody knows a dedicated command, like "kill" to kill an NPC, I'd prefer it to one or more mods: they start to be a lot and I don't want to spoil everything for my own sake. I want to put an opponent KO just to try VATS on unconscious targets, it's not important to my style of play I'm just curious to see if and how it works

I installed Fists do knockout fatique damage to use fists without killing. Unfortunately, the values of strength and agility are very high, so if I don't hit a fairly strong NPC I kill it easily. I try to include this one too.
One question: I also use Near Death, which often works even with very weak targets. Can it affect the probability of Knockout?

KNockout works by dealing fatigue damage. Thing is, your modded game may have ended up in a state where you do very little fatigue damage compared to normal damage.

I don't have any mods that modify the "performance" of the character nor particular perks if not the original ones of the game. No mod that modifies the damage of firearms or melee combat. From what you say I think that the rarity of Knockout is due to the high level reached by the character. I also tried with the boxer tape, which in theory should only inflict fatigue damage, but instead using it after two or three punches the opponent dies anyway ...... Ok I'll come up with something. Only the last thing: can the presence of Near Death be a hindrance to the knockout? If yes, reluctantly, I disable it. Thanks for the answers
