New vegas crash every 30 minutes to an hour
Sound cuts out, then crashes in a few minutes, or outright freezes and crashes.

I've tried without any mods installed, i've tried with the anti-crash mods, the result is the same. The game crashes constantly.

Any ideas?

For me it either

A) Freezes COMPLETELY, I cannot use ctrl+shift+del, I cannot open task manager although I have it's "always on top" setting on, I cannot tab out and I cannot switch desktops

B) freezes for 2 seconds and closes itself with no error message

I have no mods installed either

TheCampingOwl: If you have Stutter Remover, replace it with this:
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66537

reverse cricothyroidotomy tester: Then apply some stabilisers. We have an entire pinned thread for them. Or, if you want the bigger treatment, either of these guides (and a few more online) have quite a lot to say about it:

Are you using windows 10 by chance?

I am, however in this situation that's irrelevant. Back when the game released in 2010, I had this exact same issue with that computer at the time. I can't remember what windows that one had, I think it was windows 7.

Same exact issue, sound cuts out and then crashes in a few minutes, or outright freezes and i have to close it via task manager.

Couple years later, around 2014-2015 or so, tried this game AGAIN only to have the same exact problem.

3 computers, 3 different operating systems, all have the same issue. The problem isn't on my side, I just need to know what I can change in the game or what mod to use to actually play it.

I've already gone through that thread and installed all the mods to stabilize the game, the issue is still present.

4gb patch will help improve it.

I do still have crashes but it should happen less often. Whenever it crashes, it goes straight to desktop for me and it can happen every 30 mins or I can manage to play 2 to 3 hours with no problems. It depends what 'mood' the game is in and with me the CTDs happen usually while transferring cells so my advice would be to save often in multiple slots especially before transferring cells.

Already have it installed. The game still crashes about every half hour which is quite unacceptable.

That suspiciously sounds like memory overflow, especially with a sound cut-out. Are you sure you only have the fixes and not any texture mods on top?
At any rate, try this: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/4490-memory-patch-has-been-ported-to-nvse/

Just added that, will try to play again and see how long it lasts before it fails.

And no, there aren't any texture mods. I avoided installing anything heavy specifically to see how the game behaves in a vanilla environment.

It crashed, then I added anti-crash mods, which did nothing at all. So here I am.

Edit: Even with that fix, it crashed, exactly 31 minutes into gameplay.

What is that mod list exactly? If this happens always at 30 minutes, then it can be a timed script.

Type3 Hirez HiDetailed replacer.
Type3 Body and armor Replacer.
CASM
Ashara Formal clothing for NV 13
Ghost variants(armor)
YUP
4GB FNV
Beauty pack plus Project Mikoto
Asurahs Reanimation pack
New Vegas Tick Fix

NVAC is in there as well however that one has been entirely uninstalled, it hasn't helped at all.

Also, the crash was happening even without any mods. So I highly doubt the crashes are related to the mods. Especially given the fact it's the same symptoms over 3 computers in almost a decade.

In that case, I would start poking around the programs you also keep using for that long. This is not normal. The game crashing is one thing, a 30-minute crash that keeps going on throughout several computers is statistically impossible. Something is causing it to crash.

What I use changed completely. No applications are the same as what I used years ago. There is not a single program on my computer that I used 4-5 years ago, much less almost 10 years ago.

Something is obviously causing it to crash, and it is most likely down to crappy coding. One of my friends has this exact same issue. Crashes after 30 minutes, we share no programs, we share nothing at all.

While for another one, it works fine.

I'm running with:
Ryzen 5 1600X
RTX 2070
16GB ram Corsair Vengeance
256GB SSD
1TB HDD

My friend that also crashes within 30 minutes:
GTX 1050
i5 6600K
8GB RAM, unsure of make
1TB HDD

I have no idea what the last guy is running with. I'll have to ask next time we speak.
