Hardest fight in the game?
Another odd question, but what was the toughest battle you were in during any playthough?

In my opinion, it's either the inside of Caesar's Tent due to the immense amount of praetorian guards and their tendency to gang on you, or the Long 15 and the battle against Colonel Royez due to him being perfect in every way (perfect special and skills across the board, wields a plasma caster with deadly efficiency, heals naturally and has power armor to soften the blow of attacks. Not to mention that he has friends.)

The actual strongest enemy in the game is the legendary bloatfly, but luckily it's just by itself

The mother den in the deathclaw cave.
I don't think there are any other fights that can be difficult as long as you are prepared. Royez and his gang can be sniped, Caesar and his gang I have two-cycled with two VATS rounds with the Tarantula Emitter.

well actually the game is pretty easy hardcore or not, the only enemys that were tough though were the cazadores whos venom was biting.....

The first centurion you meet on a patrol. Mostly because you're not using high end gear by then.

1. X-42 Giant Roboscorpion
2. Rawr
3. Legendary Deathclaw

Deathclasws are the hardest enemys in my opinion but if you have a "flare gun" (Flamethrower etc.) than they are easy to kill.

Same to the Bloatfly, if you know how, than its easy to kill.

The most problems ive had was against X-42.

P.S. The hardest enemy ever is "Gojira". You can call "Gojira" only with console command.

Courier's Mile in Lonesome Road is pretty rough.

Any Deathclaw fight as a melee/unarmed character.

This is the reason I'm not gonna do Lonesome Road on my current playthrough. That was a decision I made at the start, and I'm NOT backing down from it.

Old world blues, LEgendary bloatfly. 'Nuff said.
Legendary bloatfly, every time. that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is one of, like 7 (types of) enemies that have ever killed me in NV.
And ♥♥♥♥ whoever made the satchel charges, they have a much higher detection radius. if you dont see them first, i hope you have some hydra

The hardest fight for me was definitely the one against Ulysses. A real nightmare! The new Ed-E that accompanies you in the DLC becomes your opponent and the number of NPCs shooting at you was too high, they spawned continuously and I couldn't concentrate on Ulysses. The crossfire you are in was, at least for me, unbearable. After being killed twenty times I understood that I was not able to win the battle. I changed strategy. In the book The art of war it is written: "battles that cannot be won must not be fought". The twenty-first time I used the Antimatter Rifle and shot him from behind as far as possible, obviously explosive bullets. That was before the real fight began, as soon as you entered the missile room and he wasn't looking at you yet. Ulysses's body fell to the foot of the nuclear missile, a point inaccessible to me, so I wasn't able to rummage in his pockets. Probably doing it this way I somehow bugged something in the DLC, but fortunately it let me finish it anyway. I lost the second ED-E and was forced to launch the missile because, without the Ulysses quest items, I couldn't stop the countdown. I decided that this ending suits me, but precisely because I would never want to try again that fight that drove me crazy!
