No, it hints to later events. Ignoring that DLC would make the story disjointed.
Just do them in order as he said but with honest hearts included.
It's one of the better DLC so there's no reason to skip it.
SInce there was confusion I didn't mean skip Honest Hearts I said do it before Dead Money since DM and the latter two connect more. DM, Old World Blues, and Lonesome share backstories with certain characters and they heavily reference eachother throughout. Honest Hearts really only gets mentioned in a single line of dialogue towards the end of Lonesome Road, which is why I stated a more natural progression would be HH>DM>OWB>LR, if you care about story. But the real important thing is to do Lonesome Road last, preferably right before the final battle in the main game.
