Steam or GOG?
So, which one should I get this game from? I'm not sure which one is more stable. Also, can I mod on the GOG version?

They're both the same except the GOG version already includs the 4gb patch but it's simple to do it yourself so there is no difference in stability. Yes you can mod with GOG.

^This. Also GOG won't have anything like the Steam overlay implemented, which may or may not improve stability. The overlay sometimes caused problems in Fallout 3, but I've never heard of it causing issues in New Vegas. Same engine though soooo meh

Whatever you prefer. Me personally, I like to keep all my games in one place: Steam; so it really depends on your preferences. If you can't mod and aren't bothered about games being in different places, I would lean towards GOG; but it does work on Steam; it's just like DiscountLouisCK said: you won't have the 4GB patch installed.

GOG. Somewhat more stable and if you download the installer instead of using Galaxy, you can quickly and easily redo an installation if your modding attempt goes belly up.

How can i get the steam F:NV dlc? I have an retail spanish copy i activated it got the Western version yet i cant buy DLC or see the store page yet i can buy the RU dlc and i live in Europe. I also checked the forums in the RU forums it shows i dont have the game. Any tips? And no im not buying the RU version im just looking the DLC for the western version. Because i dont like having to look in the gaming hub where 95% are written in alien language to me.

Then buy an Ultimate Edition key from some store. If you live in the FONV RU regions, you are completely unable to get the Western version DLCs, Steam will prevent even gifting to you.

I would say GOG.

I have F3 (no dlcs) here and it sucks. Had to install mods to make it run. I bought it again, but the GOTY version on GOG and it ran much much better, no mods installed there.

About FNV, bought it here without dlcs. And it was manageable most of the time, haven't installed any mod but I did suffer infinite loadscreens, "Gomorrah keeps my weapons" bug, "mouse not working on pipboy" bug... So I bought all the dlcs, and the ultimate edition fixed almost every bug/glitch I was dealing with. I've read about GOG version runs fine, like F3 version.

Conclusion: try GOG, it comes with more patches that could cause better performance. They have a refund system too

Why cant i buy western DLC when i live in EU but i can buy RU dlc when Russia isnt even part of Europe just 20% of land wtf is going on here. Who the hell designs these kind of bullsh*t practices?

Nvm found an solution. Met Captain Hook and he said If they dont want money its their loss...

NV RU is actually the Cenega version. Bethesda Softworks had a distribution agreement with Cenega for most of the Eastern European region for games like Dishonored and New Vegas. Since Cenega by contract should get the distribution fees for those everywhere, they had to set up a different product, since Steam cannot keep track of purchasing region data.

(By the way, Russia takes up 40% of Europe's area. Their European portion is as big as the next TEN largest European countries put together.)

GOG I'd say. It's LAA enabled (has 4GB implimented) and it's DRM free. Abit more updated too.
